The Inevitable Choice You’ll Have To Make

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

It’s easy to be positive, motivated, and proactive when things are going well. You’re probably even more coachable during this time because you’re very open-minded, pleasant, and just a gift that any coach would be lucky to have as a client.

Being coachable is having an open heart and open mind to deepen one’s self-awareness, learn different perspectives, and to implement that knowledge into taking different actions toward your goals…on a consistent basis.

Yes, it’s fun and easy to do these things when your thoughts, actions, and feelings are at an all-time high.

What a dream come true!

But then, the sh*t hits the fan!

The reality is that most of us are only willing to charge forward with optimism up to a certain point. These points are when fear, anger, hopelessness, and frustration run the show.

It is when your potential clients stop calling you back. It is when the weight you’ve worked so hard to lose starts creeping back up. It is the team that you’ve worked so hard to lead and improve the last year starts reverting to toxic behaviors.

It is at this point when you will be faced with the decision to either throw in the towel or to keep going.

It is at this point when you will be faced with the inevitable choice that all people who dare to be extraordinary will have to face.

It is the choice between upgrading yourself or downgrading your dream.

If you’ve chosen an important and meaningful goal for yourself, it will be hard. Very hard. There will be times when obstacles seem insurmountable, but they’re not.

Your dream is worth it.

The saying for “It’s worth it” in French is “C’est vaut la peine” which literally translates to “It’s worth the pain.”

So, when the inevitable “pain” comes (which can come in the form of fear, self-doubt, envy, anger, sadness, etc.) you’re either going to have to raise the bar of your comfort zone or lower the bar of your dreams.

As you’ve heard, the best offense is a good defense.

So decide now who you’ll be and what you’ll choose when that inevitable choice will have to be made. In fact, the choice will have to be made time and time again if you’re going to keep creating the life, business, and career you truly want.

Decide now what you will choose when faced with the inevitable decision of upgrading yourself or downgrading your dream.

The choice and responsibility are yours.
